Hi everyone, Here is a quick synopsis of our summer agenda. More details will follow in the coming weeks for each event (some are still being determined):
If you've signed up for summer camp and haven't paid yet, please contact me to make arrangements. Also, if you don't have a current scout physical (one that has been completed since last August), please schedule one and complete all parts (a, b and c) and bring it to our pre-camp meeting (yet to be scheduled in July). The form is here:
We will be attending Camp Kingsley in Ava, NY for residential summer camp in July (26-30). If you're planning to go, sign ups will begin at the March Pack meeting.
The time has come to start thinking about Cub Scout resident camp this summer. I realize it's early, but our council requires commitment by February 1st, so we need to decide what our Pack will be doing ASAP. To this end, the committee is looking for your input on selecting our summer camping plans; so we've created a survey we'd like you to fill out, it shouldn't take more than a few minutes:
Hi everyone, It saddens me to have to inform you all that Camp Kingsley will not be having summer camp this year. See their statement here: https://www.leatherstockingcouncil.org/campdecision Pack 103 will be refunding the deposits paid to the families.
and at this point, it may be the best opportunity for summer scouting, so I would encourage everyone (this would be done on a family basis - not a pack) to consider it. If you do sign up, please remember your scout will be a rank ahead of their current rank (e.g. if your scout is currently a Lion, they will be a Tiger for summer camp; likewise tiger->wolf, wolf->bear, bear->webelos, webelos->aol).
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. CT
Hello Pack 103 families, At this time, Camp Kingsley is still planning to hold summer camp, and we are still scheduled to attend from July 15-19. Please reach out to C.T. directly, and let him know if you or your scout will be able to attend, ASAP, deposits are due by May 1. Our full payments are due by June 1, but should they have to cancel, all our monies will be refunded in full.
Hi everyone, I hope you're all doing well, and for the Cubs I hope you're all happy to be getting started again using the packets and looking forward to some in-person meetings/events. Our first in-person event is the hike at 5 Rivers Mrs. Litts emailed about previously, and will double as a pack meeting with advancement being distributed for those who attend.
For everyone - we are *considering* attending Camp Kingsley this summer as it is the only resident camp for Cub Scouts which will be operating that we know of, without going out of state. So we're asking that *EVERYONE* complete the following interest survey, even if you are not interested in summer camp: https://forms.gle/sHNMedwXt5ywqcsi7
Please complete it before the end of next week (3/26) so the pack leadership can discuss the results and commit (or not) to Kingsley by 4/1 (their commitment date), the survey should only take a few moments of your time.
