June Pack Picnic

As discussed at the last two Pack meetings, the June picnic is coming up on 6/20 starting at noon with setup (for anyone who can help) around 11:30. The Pack will provide meat and drinks, we're asking for everyone else to bring a dish to share. I've put together a sign up sheet here:

My den test-drove it and it seems to work well. Please mark what you're bringing and look at others so we don't have too many duplicates if possible. If you signed up at the April Pack meeting, I have already put your entry on there. Let me know if you have problems, questions or concerns.

Flag Day Retirement Ceremony

On June 14th, our Pack has been invited to assist Troop 20 in a flag retirement ceremony. This will be at the Kingston Elks Lodge on Hurley Ave. close to Mickey's Igloo, big white building and has BPOE on the front. We will start folding flags and setting up around 5, and the ceremony will be at 6. After the ceremony they will destroy the flags, and usually have hot dogs, and ice cream. Boys should be in Class A. Of course any sibling girl scouts I imagine are welcome too (in uniform). Let me know if you have questions or concerns and I'll do my best to find answers.

Memorial Day Parade

Sorry for the late notice, just today we heard back from the Hurley Town Hall, and we'll be marching in the Hurley Memorial Day Parade this coming Monday. We will be #16 in the order in the vicinity of the Girl Scouts and ahead of Spring Lake FD (so when you are looking for us at drop off, look for the SLFD vehicles). Please see the attached map for directions to drop off, it will be one-way through the Hurley Mission.

Summer Camp

If you've signed up for summer camp and haven't paid yet, please contact me to make arrangements. Also, if you don't have a current scout physical (one that has been completed since last August), please schedule one and complete all parts (a, b and c) and bring it to our pre-camp meeting (yet to be scheduled in July). Fishing Derby

This Monday will be the catch+release fishing derby at the Cullinairian home in New Paltz (71 Old Tschirky Rd, New Paltz, NY 12561). Practice begins at 530, contest at 6, awards at 630. Den Chiefs, older siblings and some parents may be tapped to help judge or report measurements.

Rondout Camporee

Just a quick reminder about the rondout camporee, which will be June 12-14. If you'd like to attend, please contact Charlene (wat6272@gmail.com) to sign up. The $10 for participants (scouts and siblings who will participate in the activities) will be due at the fishing derby this Monday. The food costs will be determined based upon sign-ups and will be collected at a later date. Charlene is also looking for volunteers to help in the weekend cooking duties. If you have questions or concerns, please contact her directly.
